What does Isaiah 50:1 mean?

This is what the Lord says: 'Where’s your mother’s divorce certificate? Did I send her away? Or did I sell you to pay off a debt? No, you were sold because of your own wrongdoing, and your mother was sent away because of your sins.' Isaiah 50:1 - Modern Text Bible
