What does Revelation 6:33 mean?

I looked, and there was a pale horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and the grave followed close behind. They were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, famine, disease, and wild animals. Revelation 6:33 - Modern Text Bible

(This final horseman brings widespread death through many means, showing the severity of the coming troubles.)

Encouragement isn’t just a feel-good idea—it’s a call to real courage. The Greek word tharseite means take heart or be courageous, a command to stand firm when everything feels uncertain. This verse pushes back against the temptation to give up or to let fear make your choices. It insists that courage is possible, even in the face of overwhelming odds.

If you’re feeling anxious or afraid, this verse is a direct invitation to find strength you didn’t know you had. It doesn’t pretend that life is easy, but it does say that you can face what’s ahead without being crushed by it. Sometimes, taking heart is the bravest thing you can do—and it’s enough to take the next step forward.
