What does Revelation 10:11 mean?

Then I was told, 'You still have to speak God's message again, this time about many different peoples, nations, languages, and rulers.' Revelation 10:11 - Modern Text Bible

(John is given a new assignment: to keep sharing God's message, not just to one group, but to the whole world, no matter how difficult it is.)

John is told he must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings. The Greek word for "prophesy" is propheteuo, meaning to speak forth or declare a message, not just predict the future. This is a call to keep communicating truth, even after difficult or bitter experiences.

This verse challenges the idea that one hard moment or setback should end your voice or your contribution. Even after a tough truth, there’s more to say and more people who need to hear it. It’s a pushback against silence and discouragement.

If you’ve ever felt like giving up after a disappointment or a hard lesson, this verse suggests that your story isn’t over. There’s still a place for your voice, and what you’ve been through can shape what you say next. Sometimes, the most meaningful words come after the hardest experiences.
