What does Matthew 3:16 mean?

After Jesus was baptized, he came up out of the water. Suddenly, the sky opened up, and he saw God’s Spirit coming down like a dove and landing on him. Matthew 3:16 - Modern Text Bible

(As Jesus comes out of the water, God’s Spirit visibly descends on him, marking him out in a special way.)
