What does Leviticus 17:5 mean?

This is so the Israelites will bring their sacrifices to the Lord at the tent, not just out in the open fields. They’ll bring them to the priest, and he’ll offer them as peace offerings to the Lord. Leviticus 17:5 - Modern Text Bible
