What does Jeremiah 2:11 mean?

Has any nation ever switched out its gods, even though they aren’t real gods? But my people have traded away their glorious God for things that can’t help them at all. Jeremiah 2:11 - Modern Text Bible

(Other nations stick with their fake gods, but Israel gave up the real God for useless idols.)
