What does Jeremiah 16:9 mean?

This is what the Lord of all, the God of Israel, says: I'm about to silence every sound of joy and gladness in this place—the voices of brides and grooms. It'll all be gone, right here in your sight and while you're still alive. Jeremiah 16:9 - Modern Text Bible
