What does Isaiah 42:24 mean?

Who let Jacob be taken? Who handed Israel over to robbers? Wasn’t it the Lord, the one we sinned against? They wouldn’t walk in his ways or listen to his teaching. Isaiah 42:24 - Modern Text Bible
