What does Ezekiel 8:16 mean?

He brought me into the inner courtyard of the Lord's house. At the entrance to the temple, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men. They had their backs to the Lord's temple and were facing east, bowing down to the sun. Ezekiel 8:16 - Modern Text Bible
