What does Exodus 12:15 mean?

For seven days, don’t eat anything with yeast in it. On the first day, get rid of all the yeast in your houses. If anyone eats bread with yeast during these seven days, they’re out—they’re cut off from the community of Israel. Exodus 12:15 - Modern Text Bible
