What does Daniel 1:2 mean?

God let Nebuchadnezzar win. He handed Jehoiakim over to him, along with some of the sacred objects from God's temple. Nebuchadnezzar took these things back to Babylon and put them in the temple of his own gods. Daniel 1:2 - Modern Text Bible
