What does 1 Samuel 31:5 mean?

Saul told his armor-bearer, 'Draw your sword and kill me, so these uncircumcised men don’t come and torture me.' But his armor-bearer was too afraid to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it. 1 Samuel 31:5 - Modern Text Bible
