What does 1 Samuel 18:25 mean?

Saul said, 'Tell David this: The king doesn't want any payment for the bride except a hundred Philistine foreskins, as revenge on his enemies.' Saul was hoping David would be killed by the Philistines. 1 Samuel 18:25 - Modern Text Bible
